Guna Cave We have been to most of the popular weekend getaways like Ooty, Munnar etc. But we still fondly remember our first trip from Kannur to Kodaikanal. This post is about how we spend those 3 days in Kodaikanal. Hills & Mountains keep always fascinating me. So i always keep looking for a chance to travel to hill station & spend some time in the lap of nature away from the metro cities. And the best part is same is true for my friends also. Through this you will also get an idea how best to spend three days in Kodaikanal.
About Kodaikanal
Kodaikanal is a city in the hills of Taluk division of Dindigul District of TamilNadu. It is also known as Princess of Hillstation. It is the best hillstation when compare to Ooty & Munnar. And on top of that it has some beautifull visiting spot.
Best time to visit Kodaikanal
Kodaikanal has an average temperature all through the year.We visited here in December end. The temperature is between 10% to 15% most of the time. So i will say the best time to visit Kodaikanal is all year around.
Travel Plan Highlight
Our plan was to start early morning on 22/12/2020 & again comeback to Kannur by evening of 25/12/2020. So we book a Traveller for 4 days. Although we spend close to 3 days in Kodaikanal & rest one day in travel. Since it was year end holiday season the hotel booking was too rush & we faced difficulty in booking rooms. We booked a cottage near Kodaikanal Lake for three days.

Back to Hometown
This was the day to say goodbye to Kodai & to start for hometown. We decide to start around 8am & so that we could reach Kannur by 6pm & met some friends at night on 25/12/2020. Again back to home journey with completely refreshed mind on the same breathtaking views of highway. With all the Toll stops & break of 45 minutes we finally reach back our home around 8pm. This was the end of one or more memorable & amazing journey, three days in Kodaikanal, full of fun & enjoyment.
